Ear Cancer Treatment

treatment

Your treatment options will depend on the type of ear cancer, as well as the stage of the cancer and where the ear cancer is located.

Surgery

We treat most ear cancers using surgery. First we’ll remove the tumor as well as some surrounding tissue to ensure we remove as much of the cancer as possible. Then we’ll follow up with radiation therapy to kill any remaining cancer cells. Occasionally, we’ll also use chemotherapy to treat ear cancer.

Reconstructive Surgery

We also offer reconstruction surgery if we need to remove a large portion of the ear. Reconstruction can help patients hear and improve balance issues.

Immunotherapy

Patients with advanced, or metastatic, ear cancers may benefit from immunotherapy offered through our clinical trials. Immunotherapy helps strengthen the immune system so it can fight the cancer.
