The chemotherapy suites at UK HealthCare provide patients with advanced cancer treatments in a warm and inviting setting with supportive, award-winning healthcare professionals. From televisions to warm blankets and refreshments, our goal is to make your visit comfortable and relaxing.

ONS LogoThe nursing staff at Markey are Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certified, and UK HealthCare has been awarded the Magnet Nursing Award, recognizing our dedication to providing outstanding patient care. The staff at Markey are experts in cancer care, specializing in chemotherapy administration. 

The Chemotherapy and Infusion Clinics are located in the Whitney-Hendrickson Building (Pavilion WH), on the first and second floor, and in the Chandler Hospital (Pavilion H), on the second floor. Services are provided seven days a week, and all three spaces are newly renovated — providing up to 36 chemotherapy bays Monday through Friday and 24 on Saturday and Sunday.

Markey has provided state-of-the-art cancer care for more than 20 years, and we are proud to be the only cancer center in Kentucky designated by the National Cancer Institute. For the last five years, Markey Cancer Center has been nationally recognized as a top 50 cancer center by U.S. News and World Report.

DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic

For children in the Commonwealth, Kentucky Children’s Hospital offers comprehensive pediatric hematology and oncology services provided by a multidisciplinary team of experts. The DanceBlue Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Clinic provides diagnosis of and treatment for childhood hematologic and immunologic disorders and malignancies.

Markey Cancer Center is NCI-designated

The UK Markey Cancer Center was first designated by the National Cancer Institute in 2013 – a distinction that recognizes our extraordinary ability to provide world-class care for our patients. We are the only NCI-designated cancer center in Kentucky and one of only 71 in the nation.
