When you have diastolic heart failure, it is critical to remain in the care of a cardiologist to slow or prevent your condition from progressing. Your cardiologist can regularly evaluate your heart failure and adjust your medicines, or recommend new ones, as necessary.
Psychosocial support, such as individual counseling or a support group, may help manage stress and the psychological effects of heart failure.
