Dr. Jin Chung is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the UK Gill Heart & Vascular Institute specializing in advanced heart and lung disease, with expertise in heart and lung transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, and complex cardiac and aortic surgery.
Passionate about the life-changing impact of cardiac surgery, Dr. Chung strives to provide innovative care that improves both longevity and quality of life for his patients. He is also dedicated to ensuring his patients feel informed, supported and confident in their care.

Dr. Chung earned his medical degree from Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. He then completed advanced fellowship training in cardiac surgery at Cleveland Clinic. Before joining UK HealthCare, he served as a clinical assistant professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
