U.S. News & World Report

UK HealthCare’s Albert B. Chandler Hospital remains the No. 1 hospital in Kentucky and the Bluegrass Region, according to the U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals Rankings. Comprehensive Stroke Center

The Stroke Center at KNI was the first in the region to be designated as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, the highest rating obtainable by The Joint Commission. We first received accreditation in 2014 and were recertified in 2018.

American Heart Association Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award & Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus Award

American Heart Association Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award badgeKNI has received the Get with the Guidelines – Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association for maintaining nationally recognized standards for the treatment of stroke patients.

Level 4 Epilepsy Center

Level 4 Epilepsy Center Certification SEalKNI is accredited by the NAEC as a Level 4 epilepsy center. Level 4 epilepsy centers have the professional expertise and facilities to provide the highest level medical and surgical evaluation and treatment for patients with complex epilepsy.

UK ALS Clinic – Certified Treatment Center of Excellence

ALS Center of Excellence badgeKNI is accredited by the ALS Association as a Certified Treatment Center of Excellence, the ALSA’s highest honor. We first obtained certification in 2005 and have maintained certification each year since then. To be certified as a center of excellence, each ALS clinic must meet The ALS Association’s clinical care and treatment standards, participate in ALS-related research and successfully complete a comprehensive site review.
