UK HealthCare has several options for establishing a primary care physician for your child.
Adolescent Medicine: Our team of physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, and psychologists has expertise in a wide range of adolescent concerns. We treat every patient as a unique person with unique needs - emotional, physical and psychological.
Clinica Amiga: Clinica Amiga is a pediatric primary care clinic located at Kentucky Clinic South that serves the Hispanic/Latino community of Lexington. The Spanish-speaking team of Clinica Amiga hopes to bridge language and cultural barriers by providing care that is informed by cultural sensitivity and understanding in order to address the health disparities that many members of this community face.
Med-Peds Clinic: Doctors at our clinic have unique training because they are board-certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics. This allows them to care for both routine and complicated health problems in patients of all ages, including newborns, infants and children with chronic and complicated illnesses.
Pediatric QUILT: The QuILT (Quality Integrative Life Team) Clinic provides primary medical care for children with special health care needs. Our physicians and staff work together with families to identify and access all the medical and nonmedical services needed to help the child and family achieve maximum potential.
Primary Care Pediatrics: Our pediatricians and everyone who works on the pediatric team are experts in the special needs of children. From primary care needs to specialty care, we work with families to keep kids healthy and happy.
Primary Care Pediatrics at Family & Community Medicine: Family Medicine physicians are trained to care for children of all ages, from birth to adolescence. We know how important it is to know your child and your family together, so one physician can see everyone in your household. We provide general health checkups and comprehensive care for children with chronic diseases. Our office also has board-certified sports medicine physicians who can see children.
Primary Care in Eastern Kentucky: We offer a variety of health care services at two locations in eastern Kentucky so you can choose the one that’s most convenient for you. Services include primary care, dentistry* (only offered in Hazard) and psychology.
Team Blue Primary Care Clinic: The Team Blue Primary Care Clinic is a primary care option exclusively for members of the UK health plans. Team Blue provides diagnosis, treatment and management of patients of all ages with one of the UK health plans (UK-HMO, UK-PPO, UK-EPO and UK-RHP).
After-Hours Triage: UK HealthCare’s Pediatric Triage After-Hours Program is a service available for patients and their families when they are in need of professional health care advice outside of normal clinic hours. The Triage After-Hours Program operates from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday and provides 24-hour coverage on the weekends and holidays.
Dentistry – Diagnosis, Wellness & Prevention Clinic: UK Dentistry offers this clinic as an option for patients interested in addressing both their dental and overall health needs in one location. Patients receive both a dental exam and a medical wellness exam at the same visit. The clinic offers services to patients 13 years of age and older.
NICU Graduate Clinic: The Kentucky Children’s Hospital NICU Graduate Clinic provides specialized medical and developmental follow-up care for babies and young children until about 3 years of age. The clinic not only serves babies who were cared for in the Kentucky Children’s Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), but also children born prematurely who are at risk for developmental problems.
