About

Personal Statement

I was born and raised in Kentucky and feel a close kinship to fellow Kentuckians. I chose nursing as a career because of an interest in helping others in illness and in health and enjoy doing this in my home state of Kentucky. I received my Associate’s degree in nursing in 1995 and later continued my education while working at UK advancing now to a Master’s degree in nursing. I have worked in family practice as a nurse practitioner for 6 years and as a registered nurse for 24 years. I enjoy a focus in general health care with a special interest in preventive care.

I had to basically argue with her to try and get help and I even mentioned being referred to a Nerologist or someone else to help and she completely ignored that !!

I truly appreciate that Carrie treats me as a person who is capable of understanding that I am a capable person who understands that I am ultimately responsible for my health. She addressed my concerns about the situation that made me schedule my original appointment and provided me with options for me to consider. She also responded immediately and most appropriately to a concern that had arisen during the time I made the original appointment and when I kept it. I truly cannot say enough about he professionalism, her concern for her patients, and her willingness to meet them where they are. For me, she is a 10++.

Carrie is Superb! I've gone to her as my provider for years and will continue for years. I love her! She's so personable. Listens to every detail and responds with a solution to my problems. If she personally doesn't have the answer, she refers me to someone who can provide the answers. My whole family goes to her at my referral. Nuff said

Never listened to patient and her advice was contradicting. Mentioned steroids because Zpack was statistically not proven for my symptoms of sinus but called in amoxicillin????

I avoid going to the doctor except as a last resort when I can't resolve my health issues personally. So, to finally go and then feel like my concerns weren't taken very serious was a disappointment. I also didn't appreciate a comment that you'll probably be dealing with this the rest of your life when this problem hasn't even been identified. I had zero sense that this healthcare provider cared what was hurting me and in no way did I feel like she was onboard to help me resolve this issue. Also, if one more person suggests it's arthritis, I will seek healthcare elsewhere. I heard this all too often dismissive attitude as my mother aged and I refuse to seek medical attention from those who want to dump all my concerns in an old age bucket. And for the record, I am a very active 52 year old.

My blood pressure was not taken, nor my temperature. Also, I was there for respiratory issues and the nurse practitioner did not look in my ears or my throat.

Guided through referrals. Explained recommendation on frequency of mammogram and that I was smack in the middle of the two minimum ages for colonoscopy.

Carie is a wonderful lady and an Excellent caregiver. A few years ago I had moved to near Bowling Green, Ky. I drove over three hours to be seen by Carrie Crum. That's how much I believe In her. She listens; she gets results. She cares.

Carrie was very good. I think she may have explained anything I asked her about but was responsive to my current level of understanding. I appreciate her professional but not-too-formal manner.
