Our pediatric urology team at Kentucky Children’s Hospital specializes in treating infants, kids and teens. Our staff includes the only female pediatric urologist in the region and the only specialized pediatric, adolescent and young adult urologic oncology-trained surgeon in Kentucky. We also routinely collaborate with many other specialties to provide our patients with the highest-quality multidisciplinary care.
With over 15,000 patients seen and more than 2,700 surgeries performed since 2010, we’re highly experienced in treating children and young adults across state and beyond with a variety of conditions, including:
- Congenital urinary tract anomalies.
- Hypospadias, hernias and undescended testicles.
- Renal obstruction and hydronephrosis.
- Vesicoureteral reflux and urinary tract infections.
- Spinal dysraphism and anorectal anomalies.
- Pediatric GU oncology.
- Pediatric kidney stones.
- Dysfunctional voiding.
Our pediatric urology group also provides oncology and fertility preservation services for children and young adults with urologic malignancies. And through our prenatal urology program, we work with expecting mothers of babies with urologic issues.
In addition to seeing patients in Lexington, we have two satellite locations in Kentucky – in Mt. Vernon and Morehead – through which we serve the rural areas of Kentucky once a month.
For patient appointments, please ask your primary care provider or pediatrician to make a referral.
Health care providers, please visit our referral page to refer your patient to this service.
The pediatric urology team has seen enormous growth across the past several years, doubling in size in an effort to bring our patients the best care possible.
