Holiday Donations to Kentucky Children’s Hospital
While we are grateful for our generous community and all they do for Kentucky Children’s Hospital, the health and safety of our staff, patients and families is our first priority. We encourage donors to use the hospital’s online wish list on Target, Amazon or Walmart as an alternative to in-person delivery of donated items. We are unable to accept any donations at the hospital that are not pre-scheduled with the Child Life Department.
Brighten a child's holiday
The holidays are a difficult time to have a loved one in the hospital, especially if that loved one is a child. You can make the holidays special for children and families who are receiving care at Kentucky Children’s Hospital by donating new toys, books, gift cards and other gifts.
Shop our online wish lists
Kentucky Children’s Hospital will accept donations of new items by appointment only during the holiday season. To protect the health of our patients and hospital staff, donation guidelines must be followed.
We are happy to accept donations of new items only, mailed directly to the hospital or purchased from our wish list on Target, Amazon or Walmart. Used items will not be accepted. Items purchased from the Wish List will be shipped directly to the hospital from the vendors.
If you are unable to utilize the wish list, you may drop off donations by appointment only. Donations will not be accepted without a specific drop-off day and time scheduled through the Child Life Department.
Donors and community visitors will not be allowed to deliver donations directly to patients or interact with patients during their donation drop-off.
Scheduled drop-offs
The Child Life Department has set up designated days for all holiday donations for donors who wish to deliver in person. Please contact our Child Life team at KCHChildlife@uky.edu to schedule a drop-off.
We are unable to accept donations at the hospital without an appointment on a drop-off day. Holiday donation days are:
- Friday, Dec. 13
- Monday, Dec. 16
- Tuesday, Dec. 17
- Wednesday, Dec. 18
- Thursday, Dec. 19
- Friday, Dec. 20
We will not accept any holiday donations on Dec. 24 or 25.
Please complete and sign the first page of the Non-Cash Gift Agreement Form below and include a copy with your donation. The form MUST include an estimated value and/or attached gift receipt.
