Pharmacy Long‑Acting Injectable Service – EmPATH

At UK Retail Pharmacies, we’re here to make treatment easier. Through the EmPATH Clinic at Eastern State Hospital, our pharmacists provide long‑acting injectable (LAI) medications that can last up to 90 days. That means fewer doses to remember and more time to focus on living your life.

Referring a patient
We’ve made it simple for providers and facilities to connect patients with our LAI service:
- Submit an Epic Care referral: Search for "Ambulatory referral for Pharm Long Acting Injectables Services" in Epic to place a referral directly.
- Contact the LAI pharmacy staff: Call 859-562-3208 or email our clinical pharmacy team at PharmacyLAI@uky.edu to coordinate care and scheduling.
- Most patients can be seen within 24–48 hours.
