Obstetrics

Obstetrics is the field of medicine focused on caring for pregnant women and their unborn babies, assisting women through labor and delivery, and providing immediate care for mothers after childbirth. An obstetrician is a women’s health provider who specializes in this area of medicine. At the UK Women’s Health OB-GYN program, our obstetricians offer compassionate and comprehensive care for pregnant women and their babies. Obstetrical care is available at offices and clinics throughout Lexington and the surrounding communities, as well as at our Midwife Clinic.
