Dr. Holly Chitwood is an advanced practice registered nurse who cares for patients at the DanceBlue Golisano Children's at UK Hematology/Oncology Clinic. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner and pediatric acute care nurse practitioner.
Dr. Chitwood began her career as a staff nurse in the field of pediatric hematology/oncology at UK HealthCare in 2006.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of the Cumberlands in 2001. She went on to earn an associate’s degree in nursing at Eastern Kentucky University in 2006, followed by a bachelor's degree in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University in 2014. She completed a master's degree in nursing in 2015 at Lincoln Memorial University, a post-master's certificate at the University of Kentucky in 2017 and a doctorate in nursing from the University of Kentucky in 2021.
