About Phyllis D. Corbitt Community Health Center
You don’t need to drive to Lexington for check-ups, vaccines or medication management. The providers at the Phyllis D. Corbitt Community Health Center offer comprehensive health care for people of all ages in downtown Wilmore in Jessamine County. Staffed entirely by faculty in the UK College of Nursing, the Community Health Center offers the full spectrum of primary care, including treatment of acute and chronic health problems and counseling for behavioral health concerns.
Opened in 2015, the Community Health Center is named in honor of Dr. Phyllis D. Corbitt, who served the Wilmore community for more than 40 years.
The Phyllis D. Corbitt Community Health Center is open:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Thursday: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Family care & more
The Phyllis D. Corbitt Community Health Center provides primary care, pediatric primary care, behavior health and care for the LGBTQ+ community.
The center offers general wellness and primary care services for the whole family and provide patient-centered preventive care and disease management. If you have a condition that needs specialized care, your provider can set up referrals to UK HealthCare practitioners in Lexington or elsewhere.
Our services
Our primary care services include:
- Annual wellness visits
- Behavioral health services
- Camp, school and sports physicals
- Family planning
- Medication management
- Pre-employment screenings
- Preventive screenings, such as Pap tests for cervical cancer and PSA blood tests for prostate cancer
- Testing and monitoring of blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol
- Vaccines
The clinic also participates in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program, which provides vaccines at no cost to eligible children. For more information, visit online.

As part of UK HealthCare’s Transform Health Services, we provide evidence-based and gender-affirming care for people who identify across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. Our Transform Health services include:
- Primary care (including chronic care for health conditions, basic mental health care, cancer screenings, screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections)
- PrEP (for HIV prevention)
- Hormone therapy for adults
- Gender-affirming, family-centered general care
- Mental health care referrals (both in and out of UK)
- Surgery referrals (both in and out of UK)

Many primary care services, such as annual wellness exams and routine cancer screenings, are required to be covered by insurance at no cost to you. The Phyllis D. Corbitt Community Health Center is in-network for many major insurance carriers. We also accept credit and debit cards for payment. Co-pays are due at the time of service.
