Next Generation Sequencing
Next-generation sequencing, also known as massively parallel sequencing, is the term used to describe the modern sequencing technology. Next-generation sequencing is capable to sequencing millions of copies of DNA fragments in a single reaction.
UK HealthCare Genomics Core Laboratory has five Illumina® next-generation sequencing systems, the NovaSeq 6000, two NextSeq 2000, and two MiSeq benchtop sequencers. The Illumina sequencing systems utilize sequencing by synthesis (SBS) technology and support both single-read and paired-end libraries.
In addition to sequencing services, UK Genomics Core Laboratory offers select library preparation services.
