Financial Assistance

Consistent with our overall health care mission, the University of Kentucky provides quality care to patients regardless of their ability to pay.

UK HealthCare offers a Financial Assistance Program for patients who receive emergency or medically necessary services and meet the eligibility requirements.

Once all payment options (such as insurance coverage, health spending accounts, government assistance programs, etc.) have been exhausted, patients may be eligible for the UK HealthCare Financial Assistance Program. 

This program is for uninsured or underinsured patients who come to UK HealthCare facilities for medical treatment. The program can provide financial relief for applicants whose medical expenses as compared to income would create a devastating financial hardship. Please see the policy below for details.

To qualify for the program, you will be asked to complete the Financial Assistance application form below, which requires household income information to be provided.
