2026 Athletic Trainer of the Year: Brittany Martin
We are proud to recognize our UK HealthCare Athletic Trainer of the Year, Brittany Martin.
Brittany earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from the University of Arkansas in 2022 and continued her education there to complete her Master’s Degree in Athletic Training in 2024.
Brittany chose to pursue athletic training at the high-school level to stay closely connected to a wide variety of sports while making a lasting impact on student-athletes - not just in competition, but in their futures and lives beyond high school.
She has been working with UK HealthCare Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine as the athletic trainer for Montgomery County high School since 2024.
Brittany always goes above and beyond for her student-athletes, walking them through every step of the recovery process. Brittany is kind, compassionate, and committed to making sure they receive the best care possible.
Her favorite part of the job is unpredictability. No two days are ever the same, and each day brings new challenges, unique injury situations, and opportunities to continue learning and growing while caring for student-athletes.
