John Kelly McCormick, MSPAS, PA-C

John “Kelly” McCormick is a physician assistant at Kentucky Neuroscience Institute who has advanced training in headache medicine and general neurological care. He focuses on the evaluation and management of migraines, cluster headaches, trigeminal neuralgia, seizures, neuropathy, and cognitive conditions. He offers trigger point injections and Botox for chronic migraines.

McCormick earned his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from UK in 2022 and became a certified PA-C the same year. He then completed a one-year postgraduate residency in neurology through UK’s Department of Physician Assistant Studies.

McCormick emphasizes a patient-centered approach, combining medical therapies, procedures and lifestyle strategies while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life.

I believe the patient’s story is central to reaching the right diagnosis and guiding care. My role is to listen carefully, understand each person’s experience, and then apply evidence-based medicine, procedures and lifestyle strategies to create a plan that fits their needs. I aim to work collaboratively with patients so they feel heard, supported and empowered to improve their quality of life.
