About
Eric Endean, MD, FACS, is a vascular surgeon at the UK Gill Heart & Vascular Institute. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree and received his general surgery training at the University of Michigan. He completed his vascular surgery training at Loyola University in Chicago.
It was in college that Dr. Endean first became attracted to math and science. He discovered he wanted to interact with people rather than test tubes and chemicals. Medicine offered the opportunity to help people. During his medical training, he was captivated by the operating room and was drawn to the technical challenges of vascular surgery.
Dr. Endean has been on the faculty at the University of Kentucky since 1998 and is currently the Gordon L. Hyde Endowed Professor and Chair in Vascular Surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in vascular surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
