About
Driss Raissi completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a DIRECT Pathway residency in Interventional Radiology at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Radiology. He serves as an Assistant Professor in both the department of Radiology and Medicine at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Raissi is especially interested in vascular trauma, arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), advanced embolization techniques and women's health, the latter of which prompted him to found the Uterine Fibroid Program as a joint venture with the OB-GYN department, providing minimally invasive procedure options for women who suffer from fibroids. He has published several papers and presented at various national and international conferences.
