Personal Statement

What initially drew me to plastic surgery was the ability to have a significant impact on the restoration of form and function for patients after traumatic events and cancer surgery.

Throughout my training, I have gravitated toward cases involving reconstruction of complex wounds. After graduating from residency, I decided to pursue further training in all areas of complex reconstructive surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. I am now happy to return home to Kentucky and work with my patients to regain what has been lost secondary to injury or cancer.

Helping my patients to achieve their goals in appearance and functionality provides me great satisfaction and keeps me excited about coming to work each day.
