As you spend more time on Zoom calls, you may start to notice your appearance and signs of aging more than ever before. In particular, you might realize that your neck doesn’t look as youthful as it once did.

Through minimally invasive procedures, we can help make your neck appear more defined so that you can look and feel your best.

Here’s what you need to know about neck rejuvenation procedures.

Do I need to do anything to get ready for the procedure?

We start off our consultation by addressing the quality of your skin. It’s important that your skin is in good shape so that treatments can have their maximum effect.

We might recommend that you start a skin care regimen. Chemical peels or laser resurfacing techniques can also treat or alleviate fine wrinkles, brown or red spots, and course and irregular skin texture.

What kinds of neck-related issues can be treated?

Depending on your needs, we can work on a variety of issues either surgically or non-surgically.

  • Excess neck fat: We can treat the common “double chin” non-surgically by using an FDA-approved substance called Kybella. This product dissolves the fat where it’s injected on the neck. It takes less than an hour and is relatively painless but may require additional sessions. We can also perform liposuction surgery to suck out excess fat. This can be done under local anesthesia, and the results are immediate.
  • Neck bands: Overtime many people will develop what are called platysmal bands on the neck. We can address these bands non-surgically by injecting Botox into them. These results will last 3 to 4 months. We can also treat them surgically through a method called subscision. This involves making puncture sites around the bands and cutting under the skin while leaving essentially no scars.
  • Laxity and wrinkles: If these issues are moderate to severe, we can correct them through a neck lift. If they’re less severe, we can treat them by delivering energy, specifically radio frequency, to your skin. After applying a numbing cream to the neck, the radio frequency energy is delivered with or without a small skin puncture. This usually takes about 10 or 15 minutes. You might need additional sessions. Another minimally invasive technique is called the Nefertiti neck lift. This involved injecting tiny amounts of Botox into your neck and the lower part of your jaw. Results will last 3 to 4 months.

What does a neck lift do?

If you’re interested in more substantial change, a neck lift might be right for you. The type of neck lift will depend on your desires, quality of your skin and other factors, such as the amount and location of fat, the bands of the neck, and the amount of sagging and wrinkling.

A neck lift can also be performed in conjunction with a face lift.

What sets UK HealthCare apart from other providers?

Here at the Aesthetics Center, we are offering an increasingly popular and unique procedure called MyEllevate. This minimally invasive and innovate technique doesn’t require any incisions or skin removal. Instead, we place a suture support system beneath your skin’s surface to give you a more defined and youthful jawline for years to come.

This procedure leaves no scars, can be done under local anesthesia and only takes 30 to 45 minutes. Because there is little bruising or swelling afterwards, you can return to normal activities quickly.
