As an informed and educated patient, I see my physician and I as a team. The physician brings expertise from, in this case, the field of cardiology. I bring expertise about self, lifestyle preferences, my habits, physical conditioning/exercise, the psychophysiological benefits of physical conditioning/exercise, etc. In this appointment, I think the team approach worked well...efficiency, mutual respect, shared insights and knowledge, etc.

The provider told the check out person to send me to a different provider for my next appointment, but did not discuss it with me at all. I had to ask the checkout person why. It shouldn't be up to her to tell that to a patient
