About

Dr. Andrew Shabila is a dual board-certified physician in internal medicine and interventional radiology/diagnostic radiology. He specializes in advanced minimally invasive treatments for cancer, complex vascular disease and enlarged prostate, which is also called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

With a focus on interventional oncology, Dr. Shabila offers state-of-the-art therapies such as Y-90 radioembolization, transarterial chemoembolization (TACE), microwave ablation, cryoablation, and irreversible electroporation (IRE) for liver and soft tissue tumors. He is particularly experienced in treating complex liver cancers and tumors near critical structures using precision image-guided techniques.

Dr. Shabila is also a regional leader in prostate artery embolization (PAE), a minimally invasive, outpatient treatment for BPH that can reduce urinary symptoms and preserve sexual function without surgery.

Additionally, Dr. Shabila provides advanced image-guided pain therapies, including nerve blocks, nerve cryoablation, and bone tumor ablation for cancer-related and chronic pain.

His dual training in internal medicine and interventional radiology allows him to manage complex medical conditions while delivering highly specialized procedures — ensuring a comprehensive, patient-centered approach.

Dr. Shabila serves as assistant program director for the interventional radiology residency and is actively involved in resident and medical student education, multidisciplinary tumor boards and national research in interventional oncology. He is an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and presents nationally and internationally on advanced image-guided therapies.
