About

Jayme Greene, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health, obstetrics and gynecologic care. She practices at the Polk-Dalton Clinic, where she provides comprehensive prenatal, postpartum and gynecologic care to women in an underserved inner-city community. Greene is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while supporting women through all stages of life.

Greene completed her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Mercy College of Ohio before going on to earn her master’s degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from Auburn University. She began her nursing career after earning her associate’s degree in nursing from Wallace Community College in Dothan, Ala.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Greene gained extensive bedside nursing experience in both emergency medicine as well as labor and delivery. She worked as a registered nurse at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., where she provided care to high-risk antepartum and low-risk obstetric patients in a tertiary care center with a Level IV NICU. Her clinical experience also includes OB triage, postpartum care and the obstetric operating room. Additionally, Greene served in labor and delivery at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, N.C., and Bon Secours Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, as well as in emergency departments at Level I trauma and community hospital settings.

Greene is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. With a strong foundation in both emergency and obstetric care, she brings a well-rounded clinical skillset and a patient-centered approach to women’s healthcare.

Personal Statement

I chose the OB-GYN field because it allows me to support women through some of the most important and vulnerable moments of their lives while building meaningful, long-term relationships. I’m passionate about empowering women through education, advocacy and compassionate care, and I enjoy helping them make informed decisions about their health across every stage of life.

My experience working with both high-risk and low-risk obstetric patients strengthened my interest in women’s health and showed me the impact that skilled, evidence-based care can have on outcomes for both mother and baby. I also feel strongly about improving access to quality healthcare for underserved communities, and OB-GYN gives me the opportunity to make a lasting difference through prevention, wellness and comprehensive reproductive care.
