About
Veronica Morgan Jones, MD, is a breast surgeon at the UK Markey Cancer Center. She sees patients at Markey’s Comprehensive Breast Care Center. Her professional interests include improving breast surgery outcomes, reducing health disparities and understanding and improving decision-making in health care.
Dr. Jones is the author of numerous presentations and peer-reviewed journal articles on breast cancer and has mentored and taught medical students. She also volunteered at a hernia surgery camp in Malawi, where she performed more than a dozen surgeries. When she’s not working, Dr. Jones enjoys reading, collecting books and vinyl records, and watching football and basketball.
Personal Statement
The intricate nature of breast surgery allows me to combine precision with compassion. Being a breast surgeon is about more than treating a condition. It’s about making a difference for patients at a difficult time.
