I've been seeing Dr. Pittman for 12 years and have been released from his care this time. He and his office have been wonderful throughout the last 12 years and he has always addressed my concerns whether they were valid or not. He always spoke to them. miss office where everyone is, and you truly feel like they care about how you're doing and your progress.

Dr Pittman might be the best Neurosurgeon in the state but his people skills are lacking.

Explained findings well but didn't actually discuss any treatment options except 2 follow-up in 3 years.

I went to see the doctor for MRI and headache follow up. While the doctor explained the MRI results and next steps well, when I asked him about my headaches he told me that he does not treat those and did not have an answer for me. I was seeing a NEUROLOGIST, asking about the least complex neurology topic there is. I was asking questions that I thought were simple- as is this medication a good choice for me to be on? And what should I do if I experience more severe symptoms? Being told that he did not have an answer was extremely concerning. As a healthcare worker myself, I know that this is absolutely unacceptable. I would have found a colleague of mine who could have helped or at least told the patient I would look into it and get back to them. I feel that my experience was completely unacceptable. The doctor then told me to hold on and left the room only to send in the nurse who told me I was good to go home. I will absolutely not be returning to see Dr. Pittman

Dr. Pittman was wonderful! We are so thankful God directed our path to his expertise. He also has a compassionate bed side manner.

This was not my first major surgery at UK. BUT there was a huge divide from my first to this one. Much to be desired. No one was rude or mean but there wasn't much bedside manner. This was also the view of family who visited.

Dr. Pittman was the epitome of a doctor that I don't feel comfortable seeing. He came in, chuckling about my CT scan and how the doctors that referred me thought it was a tumor. He told me that it was normal calcification, while still chuckling about the thought of it being a tumor. He didn't ask me if I had any questions or concerns. He was in the room for maybe 1 minute total. I didn't feel listened to and I definitely left the appointment feeling stupid. There were questions I came into the appointment with and I didn't have the opportunity to say anything to Dr. Pittman, let alone ask the questions I had. For the last week, I was extremely scared because I had been told that there was a lipoma on my pineal gland-something very rare. While I'm glad it wasn't anything serious, I don't think that my fears and worries were considered at all by Dr. Pittman. It was to a point that I felt I was made fun of for even being at the appointment. Dr. Pittman's attitude is exactly why people don't feel comfortable going to the doctor. I was also told I would be scheduled for an MRI and follow up in three months, and that was never done. This was a truly horrible experience.
