Susan M. McDowell received her medical degree from Medical College of Georgia, School of Medicine, Augusta. She is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a subspecialty certification in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. She is a recipient of several awards including Faculty Educator of the Year, Athena Paper Award, Resident Research Award, and the David L. Cowen Award for Outstanding Resident of the Year.
Dr. McDowell has a special interest in spinal cord injury, pediatric rehabilitation, and spasticity management including intrathecal pumps and botulinum toxin injections.
