About
Dr. Stephanie Biecker is a sports medicine physician at UK HealthCare who takes pride in helping patients of all ages return to an active lifestyle. As a long-distance runner herself, she especially enjoys helping other runners get back on their feet.
Dr. Biecker performs diagnostic ultrasound evaluations and offers ultrasound-guided injections. She enjoys educating patients about their injuries so that they can make informed decisions on treatment options that best align with their health and wellbeing.
Dr. Biecker earned her bachelor's degrees at UK, a master's degree in interdisciplinary sciences from Touro College and her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in family medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where she was elected chief resident during her third year. After residency, she completed the TriHealth – Bethseda Hospital primary care sports medicine fellowship in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a fellow, she was team physician for Summit Country Day High School, Xavier University and Mount St. Joseph University, where she gained experienced with athletes in a variety of sports disciplines.
Personal Statement
I enjoy working with patients of all ages and abilities. I am passionate about helping people return to their desired sports and activities because I also live a very active lifestyle through running, hiking, cycling, traveling and lifting.
I believe that providing the best possible care includes looking at the whole person to see what best accommodates their needs and goals. With this in mind, I strive to offer compassionate and empathic care to every person I see.
