Personal Statement
My goal, as chairman of the department, is to build a really top-notch academic program for the institution and for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. I'm inspired by the growth. Our faculty has more than quadrupled, our patient volumes are way up and we provide high-quality complex care for the entire region. I'm inspired to continue that growth and to expand our reach to help people who need eye care. We have specialists in every subspecialty field in ophthalmology so patients can expect the best care for whatever their problem is.

This was the first time in a 20 year history that a trip to an ophthalmologist took only an hour, check-in to check-out. Usually it has been 2.5 hours for 15 minutes with the doctor. I was pleasantly surprised, and hope this will be the future standard.February, 2020
