    The resident in the room prior to Dr. Helton also was so attentive and caring about my strange situation . Dr. Helton is the BEST PCP I have ever had.. And I have had many being an ex Army Brat

    Dr Helton and his staff are the best. Dr Helton is very knowledgeable and makes sure I am included in decisions about my care. He also makes sure I understand the pros and cons of the options.

    I want to express my appreciation for luckily landing as Dr. Helton's patient. I was new to area and was assigned yo see him as my primary here in Kentucky. I consider myself very fortunate.       I have an intermittent pain issue. I have tried to address it with almost every provider I have encountered in the past 15 years! Dr. Helton listened. I've only been on the prescribed medication for a few days, but I'm encouraged so far.

      Up until this appointment, I've always had positive experiences with Dr Helton. I'm used to speaking with a resident before seeing Dr. Helton, but this time I had to specifically request to see him. The resident hadn't read my chart and kept interrupting me when I was going over the health issue I was being seen for. I eventually gave up trying to explain further (as I disagreed with what he said), and assumed I would see Dr Helton and would just talk to him about it. The resident came back and said he chatted with Dr Helton and he agreed on the plan and that I could go. I then asked to see the doctor myself. Dr Helton came in and seemed surprised so I explained my concerns. He did order the xray I was hoping for, so that was good, but I left feeling like I had to advocate for myself more than I should have to. I left frustrated and I'm not sure if I'll return to see this team.

      Dr Helton is a breath of fresh air. He is knowledgeable and very articulate in explaining issues, problems, and best plans of treatment. He listens and incorporates what he hears in his solutions to problems. One of the best doctors I have had.
