Every doctor that I have had from the Orange Team has been great

Very good first visit.

This was the most frustrating office visit I have had in the 30 years I have been involved with UK Healthcare. During these 30 years, I have had 3 PCPs indicating that I believe in long term relationships. I was with two of the three until their retirement. I believe in the patient-PCP relationship. During this office visit, I was to have my first visit with a PCP candidate, Dr. Kahler (Dr. K). Shortly after arriving in the exam room, Dr. Goldemberg (Dr. G) came in to tell me she was assigned to be my new PCP. She informed me that she was a new resident in the program and told me a bit about herself. She asked if I was comfortable with this, and I responded, No. She tried to explain her role any number of ways and each time I said I understand you, but you are not and will not be my PCP. Dr. G proceeded to try to learn about my medical history. She needed to look at the PFO insertion site in my groin and required Dr. K to observe. Dr. K came in and the two of them looked at my nearly healed catheter insertion point. At that point, Dr. K tried to tell me about Dr. G being my PCP and I said that a resident would not be my PCP. I asked when the process had changed, and she said it has been that way for over a year. I told her that my partner had requested Dr. K as a PCP 2 months ago and Dr K was indeed her PCP. I asked why her case was different from mine and she said it was random. I told Dr K that I don't believe in random' for a PCP. It was one of the most frustrating and unproductive hours I could have spent. I understand the role of a resident in medical education. I have no problem with residents being involved in my care and have always enjoyed discussing my health with them.When I look at the Primary Care webpage on the UK Healthcare site, I don't see how any of the above interactions I had remotely correspond to the experience described on the webpage. As a former faculty member and administrator at UK, I have very high expectations for my PCP provider. I track significant amounts of data concerning my health and see myself on an equal footing with the PCP concerning my life experiences for the next 10-20 years. For that reason, I require a PCP that has a clinical faculty appointment that will be around for an extended period and not a resident. It is ludicrous to expect one to be assigned randomly to a medical resident as a PCP. As I move forward, I will be looking at Drs. Perry, Adams, and Hoellein as potential PCPs.

Dr. Kahler is easily the best PCP I've ever had. She is attentive, concise, and makes every effort to communicate with me. I wish others could take from her example. She is an asset to UK.

She probably saved my life on this visit

My favorite doctor in 64 years . Dr Gabby (Gabrielle) understands my condition and expectations. She has reached out to St Jude's to be sure we are on the right track of care

I am somewhat concerned that she may have lowered the Synthyroid dosage too much. I suggested reducing the dosage by 1/2 pill/week, rather than reducing the dosage to the next lower level. I will evaluate for any decrease in mental alertness.

I cannot say enough good things about Gabrielle Kahler. Five minutes into the visit I could tell this was the provider for me. She concerned herself with an issue that my previous provider didn't address and I was under that providers care for years. Knowing how serious this situation could be should have raised red flags, it didn't, but it did for Dr. Kahler. In seconds, she pulled her stool right up to me and wanted to know what I needed from her; what could she do for me. All the way to the very last minute of the visit, that level of care and concern never changed. I needed someone who cared, someone that was going to take care of my needs. I feel I have that with this provider. I'm so grateful!

She took the time to listen to me and ask questions. She didn't rush my appointment. Very happy with her services.

Words cannot begin to express the brilliance of Dr Kahler.I'm not an easy case and she recognizes potential issues ahead of time . I feel blessed having my care under her.

Dr. Kahler is an EXCEPTIONAL provider. She is the first Primary Care provider I have had in my 36 years who has not only made me feel heard but continues to work with me towards finding answers and solutions to my medical issues. If there is an award that can be won, SHE DESERVES IT!!!

Dr. Rose was concerned about my symptoms and got me in to see Dr. Kahler right away. Dr. Kahler was very thorough and very empathetic. She ordered imaging right away and asked them to prioritize me. I'm awaiting a call to see imaging.

I am excited about my new PCP Dr. Kahler, MD. I am transitioning from my long time Dr Ehrhardt, MD, because she is retiring and recommended Dr. Kahler. Our first meeting went very well and Dr Kahler was well prepared by knowing my extensive medical history.

Dr. Gabrielle is a very great doctor. She listens and cares. She includes me and my input to and for treatment and concerns.

I can say that Dr. Kahler is by far the best pcp ive had due to her intuitive and inquisitive way of getting to know the true symptoms concerning possible areas of concern based on her knowledge of her profession. Compared to most who would tell me its normal or to take some antibiotics or steroid..

Dr. Kahler is truly amazing! I have never had a doctor as intelligent, thorough, empathetic, compassionate, and extremely efficient as her! Seriously the best!

I did not switch my insurance for next year because Dr Kahler is literally the best

Dr Gabby (Gabrielle) is the most amazing doctor ever! She diagnosed my problem, treated the problem and truly saved my life!Please be good to this wonderful doc that God sent to me. She really appreciates and empathizes with all I've been through. We work together to provide my best life ever. I get teary just thinking how she has bettered my life.

Dr. Kahler was exceptional. She listened to my concerns, did not dismiss any detail, and ordered tests and diagnostics to investigate ALL of my concerns. Not only that, she gave prompt and detailed responses to my MyChart results as well as my direct messages in MyChart. I CANNOT speak enough praises for her, she absolutely made me feel like she cared for me as her patient as well as respected me. I would recommend her 100%, I already have actually to several family and friends struggling to find a provider that cares and doesn't dismiss their concerns or just prescribe medications instead of finding the cause and problem.

Dr. Kahler is amazing. She always listens and includes me in her plan and decisions. I would recommended her to everyone.
