Dr. Douglas Katz graduated from University of Michigan Medical School and served his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center. He then completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease and anterior segment surgery at the University of Minnesota. He treats medical and surgical conditions of the cornea and performs cataract and anterior segment surgery. He has an interest in corneal transplantation and infections, including herpetic eye disease and herpes zoster that affects the eye. He has lectured nationally and internationally and has written multiple textbook chapters in the field.
