About
Dr. Courtney Couch is an optometrist at UK HealthCare who offers primary eye care. She is able to perform routine and diabetic eye exams as well as evaluations for macular degeneration and cataracts. She can also treat common eye conditions, including glaucoma and dry eye syndrome.
A Kentucky native, Dr. Couch earned her bachelor’s degree from Alice Lloyd College before attending the University of Pikeville’s Kentucky College of Optometry where she received her doctor of optometry degree.
Personal Statement
From a very young age, I knew I wanted to help others. Growing up in Eastern Kentucky instilled in me a deep appreciation for community and the value of service.
My goal as an optometrist is to create a welcoming environment where every patient feels comfortable and heard. I strive to address all my patients’ questions and concerns regarding their vision and eye health. I believe effective communication is essential to high-quality care.
Outside of optometry, I enjoy hiking, sitting on my porch, and spending time with my family, friends and dogs.
