Sharon J. Pelfrey is originally from Hyden, Ky. She has more than 10 years of nursing experience treating UK patients with persistent wounds, and in 2015 earned her APRN from Frontier Nursing University

Sharon joined our roster of board-certified surgeons and physicians in podiatry, general surgery, vascular and plastic surgery specializing in the treatment and care of wounds. At the UK Wound Care Clinic, she treats clinic patients and rounds on inpatients at UK Good Samaritan Hospital.

      She was amazing, sometimes I can be a bad patient because I get nervous about things. She had to do cleaning of the burn which I was very nervous about, but she did amazing reassured me and I felt very comfortable.
