Paula Dostaler graduated from the University of South Alabama as a Family Nurse Practitioner in December of 2014, followed by obtaining her Doctorate in Nursing Practice in July of 2016. She is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She has been working with the department of Neurosurgery since August of 2015. She assists in clinic with Dr. Brandon Miller, Pediatric Neurosurgeon. She also works with the adult spine patients and is seeing new spine consult. She assists in the management of spine disorders such as spinal stenosis, disc herniation, and spine tumors.

    Request for further imagining was denied. Provider provided almost no information about injury. Provider did not ask follow up about patient's yes answer to pain question.

    She wouldn't let me talk no one else I ask for another person or dr. She didn't even come back in my room a guy handed me my papers to leave.

      She had very little confidence in what to do. I felt like since she was an APRN since she didn't confidently have the answers about next steps she should have requested a consult from a specialist. Especially since we waited months for the appointment. She just kept saying I don't know and that felt bad since we thought we were seeing a specialist.
