About

Megan started her career in labor and delivery as a registered nurse here at UK. Megan was motivated to become a nurse after becoming a young mother herself and experiencing labor and birth firsthand.

She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Louisville where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has been with the University since 2011. While continuing to care for patients as a labor and delivery nurse she returned to graduate school to complete her midwifery education at Frontier Nursing University. In 2021 Megan joined the midwives at the UK Midwife Clinic full time. Megan hopes to empower patients to take control of their own healthcare while supporting them throughout the lifespan. It is her goal to be a safe and inclusive place for all patients seeking midwifery care.

While not working Megan enjoys spending time with her family including her husband Zach and three sons. They enjoy small scale farming, hiking and sustainable living.

    I initially requested Katie, but was able to be seen by Megan sooner. Having precepted with both of them, I trust them, and am very glad that Megan was able to do my first visit at the UK Midwife Clinic.

      I can't say enough good things about Megan. I have recommended UK Midwives so many times. As someone who has never and doesn't plan to be pregnant, I've never felt less than because I'm only there for gynecology. Megan always asks how I am, if anything is going on, what I'm doing to take care of myself, asks consent to examine. She genuinely cares for her patients. She also helped identify my T2DM a couple of years ago. I probably wouldn't have been seen as quickly by my PCP because I didn't have any symptoms. I have seen a couple of the other midwives there and they are wonderful, too. But I just love Megan. All the staff are super nice. I've also never had a bad blood draw experience there.
