Melissa Liechty, MSP, CCC-SLP

Melissa Liechty, MSP, CCC-SLP is a Speech Language Pathologist providing clinical services for the UK Healthcare enterprise. Melissa earned a Bachelor of Communication Disorders degree from the University of Kentucky in 2004, and a Master of Speech Pathology degree from the University of South Carolina in 2006.

Throughout her career, Melissa has acquired a diverse range of skills and experiences. She has pursued specialized training in the evaluation and treatment of reading disorders, language disorders, and auditory processing disorders. Additionally, Melissa has completed extensive training in the Orton Gillingham approach to reading, enabling her to effectively work with patients experiencing dyslexia/reading disorders.

In 2023, Melissa pursued additional education, earning a Graduate Certificate in Telehealth, further broadening her capacity to serve patients remotely. Through the implementation of telehealth services, she has been able to offer her expertise to individuals across the state of Kentucky, bridging geographical gaps and ensuring patient access to high-quality care.

Beyond her clinical work, Melissa also serves as student coordinator in the UK Speech Language Pathology Outpatient Clinic where she is responsible for student observation placements and graduate student clinical rotation placements.
