Waleed F. Mourad, MD, Msc, DABR

Dr. Waleed Mourad is a board-certified radiation oncologist at the UK Markey Cancer Center and UK Morehead Cancer Treatment Center. He is recognized across the nation and globe for his expertise in the management of cutaneous and head and neck cancers. 

Dr. Mourad has been instrumental in developing interdisciplinary cancer treatment strategies that prioritize preservation of organ structure and function, while optimizing quality-of-life outcomes. He is skilled in all state-of-the-art radiation oncology techniques, treatment modalities and the latest advancements in clinical research.

Dr. Mourad is a pioneer in expanding tele-oncology programs to underserved rural areas in the United States as well as low- and middle-income countries, significantly improving global access to high-quality cancer care.

A respected leader in medical education, Dr. Mourad serves as both an oral and written board examiner for the American Board of Radiology in Radiation Oncology. 

His contributions to patient care, innovation in telemedicine and dedication to training the next generation of oncologists have earned Dr. Mourad a reputation as a trusted expert, innovator and mentor in the field.
