About
Ritesh Kumar, MD, joins the UK Markey Cancer Center as a radiation oncology specialist and an assistant professor in radiation medicine. He treats genitourinary, gynecological and gastrointestinal cancers with advanced radiation technology.
He earned his medical degree from Patna Medical College Hospital in India before completing a radiation oncology residency at Rutgers University in New Jersey and a general surgery internship at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Kumar is the author of more than 80 peer-reviewed journal articles and several book chapters. He is involved in editorial boards and is a reviewer for multiple oncology journals. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, exploring new places and playing sports.
