My daughter, a Primary Care physician, accompanied me for the visit. She has had some experience before with neurologist visits. She expressed that the examination and discussion with Dr. King was better, more thorough than any she had experienced previously.

Dr. King, even though all doctors these days have to type when they meet with you, often maintained eye contact and looked at both my mother and myself. His kindness was evident and created a trusting environment for our first visit to your facility. He was passionate about providing good care for my mother as she ages and we both really liked him. He listened to my mothers' concerns about her memory and gave her the gift of his time. My mother and I both listened carefully to what he said and he repeated it as needed so I could take some notes for other family members not present. His youth and enthusiasm for doctoring made the trip to the neurologist worth it for us, we had a bad experience last year and my mother wasn't so interested in trying U of K, but she is very happy we went.

As noted in earlier comments, Dr. King's Intern was excellent and spent time learning about my concerns and health issues. After she examined me and shared her noted with Dr. King, they both met with me to discuss next step. I was very pleased with the first visit.

I have received timely, logical and clear information on my ongoing plan of care. I have attempted to establish some form of care since just prior to the pandemic. UKHC has really steadied my mind in terms of worrying about my immediate future and being able to fully trust my medical team. So far, it appears to be an excellent organization.
