Personal Statement

I got into medicine because a childhood friend’s father died of Hodgkin’s lymphoma; this first sparked my interest in oncology. I believe the best philosophy is to take care of the patient as you would your family. Patients are not a medical record number nor should they be treated as such. Hopefully patients feel that all of their questions are answered when they interact with me.

Outside of medicine I most enjoy reading and spending time with my family. Something interesting or surprising about me is after only two months of knowing him, I married my husband in Las Vegas. We’ve now been married for 25 years.
