Mandakini Sadhir, MD is Chief and Medical director at Division of Adolescent Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. She received a medical degree from Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra, India. She completed her Pediatric Residency and Chief year at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, N.Y. She pursued a fellowship in Pediatric Adolescent Medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, Inc., Milwaukee. She is board certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Sadhir is a member of the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. She currently serves as Chair of Adolescent Health task Force with Kentucky Chapter – American Academy of Pediatrics and led AAP Adolescent Vaccinations and Wellness Grant Program to improve HPV vaccination in KY as well as School safety grant and led Cyberbullying Teen Round initiative. She serves on the US New and World Report Best Children’s Hospital working group on Pediatric and Adolescent Behavioral and Mental health.
Dr. Sadhir provides comprehensive and patient-centered, all- inclusive consultative care for adolescents and young adults in supportive and safe environment. Her clinical interests include eating disorders, nutrition and obesity care, PCOS, reproductive health and mental health of adolescents. Her research interests are eating disorders and impact of social media and internet use on adolescent health.
