Personal Statement
I am the only physician in a family of proud union bricklayers and engineers. I decided to enter the field of medicine due to the influence of my childhood doctors. I came to love the practice of urban medicine while serving as a medical student in Detroit and a resident in Atlanta. I thoroughly enjoy providing compassionate care to underinsured and underserved urban populations. I find it particularly satisfying to demonstrate this love of medicine to young trainees.
