Apurva Subbaswamy, MD

Dr. Apurva Subbaswamy is a dual board-certified physician in internal medicine and pediatrics at UK HealthCare where she cares for patients across their lifespan.

She received her bachelor’s degrees in French and biochemistry from Grinnell College in Iowa before earning her medical degree at the University of Kentucky. She then completed her residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts. 

Born and raised in Lexington, Dr. Subbaswamy has family ties to the University of Kentucky, as her father served as a university administrator for several years.

Personal Statement

I enjoy caring for patients across every stage of life and value the opportunity to care for entire families over time. My goal is to build lasting relationships with my patients, providing education, guidance and preventive care so that they can become the healthiest versions of themselves. I believe the best healthcare is built on partnership, and I strive to empower my patients with the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions that align with their goals and values.
