About

Dr. Richard Roberts is an audiologist in UK HealthCare who specializes in vestibular disorders, such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) and vestibular migraine. He is also a professor and director of Vestibular Science in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine as well as an adjoint professor in the Department of Hearing & Speech Sciences at Vanderbilt University. 

Dr. Roberts’ primary research interests include various topics related to the assessment and management of vestibular dysfunction. He has served on the board of directors of the Alabama Academy of Audiology and the American Academy of Audiology. Additionally, he has been a trustee of the American Academy of Audiology Foundation.

He was recognized by the American Academy of Audiology with the Clinical Excellence in Audiology award and has been honored by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association as Fellow.

Personal Statement

For more than 30 years, I have been focused on improving the quality of life for people experiencing dizziness and imbalance through comprehensive assessment and management. It is essential to keep in mind that each patient is an individual person whose symptoms are unique and impactful for them. I work closely with ear, nose and throat physicians, neurologists, neuro-certified physical therapists, occupational therapists, and experts in integrative medicine to improve the lives of these individuals.
