Melissa is now seeing patients at the University of Kentucky Fountain Court Urgent Care location. She started with the University of Kentucky in 2005 working as Nurse until completing her Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2015. She has worked in the Department of Internal Medicine and Team Blue as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Personal Statement

Practicing in Urgent Care Medicine allows me the opportunity to care for acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced and problem-focused setting. My personal goal in the Urgent Care setting is to assist my patient with their immediate concerns and help address and prevent any potentially significant bad outcome(s).

Returning to the University of Kentucky allows me the opportunity to give back to the communities dear to my heart. I enjoy the relationships I develop with my patients and I strive to the provide the highest-quality care to each patient I meet.
