      Dr. Adkins is professional and highly skilled! . I have had a cochlear implant (hybrid) in 2015 and a second cochlear (standard) in 2019. The second was at Vanderbilt Univ Hospital. Thus my treatment history has been complex. Dr. Adkins has been able to help me hear better in spite of my having almost given up hope. She reprogrammed my hearing aid at the last visit and my speech discrimination is much improved!!!. Even though I am not scheduled for a cochlear mapping until next month, she made adjustments to the programming of the cochlear as well as detailed diagnosis and reprogramming of my hearing aid! I am so grateful! A year ago I was diagnosed with CLL and have been on oral chemo for several months. To improve my ability to hear speech is helping me so much during this difficult time. Thank you!!
