Lindsey M. Parker, PA-C

Lindsey M. Parker works closely with Dr. Justin Fraser as a physician assistant in the cerebrovascular neurosurgery group here at UK HealthCare, helping with transitional and postoperative care, surgical preparations, and follow-ups. She assists Dr. Fraser with his clinics, where they address diagnoses such as aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, pituitary tumors and hydrocephalus. She also sees patients on her own, where she plays a role in postsurgical management and provides outpatient care and follow-ups in coordination with Dr. Fraser. She also acts as a point person with patients who have experienced traumatic brain injuries, seeing them after their initial injury and referring them on to specialist if needed.

Personal Statement

I have always been drawn to the medical field, even as a child. The field of neurosurgery in particular intrigues me. I love being able to sit with patients to discuss and explain their diagnosis and work with them to carry out a treatment/management plan. I make it a point to be easily accessible for our patients, since these diagnoses can raise many questions. I do my best to incorporate compassion, accuracy and timeliness into the care of my patients. I also apply the recommendations from patients’ other physicians and specialists when providing a team approach to their care.
