Johnson earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Personal Statement
I chose the field of medicine because I enjoy caring for people. I was a registered nurse for 16 years before becoming a nurse practitioner, and my passion for helping patients with bettering their health has only become stronger. I was raised here in Lexington, and I look forward to caring for people from all over Kentucky and the surrounding areas.
In the Discharge Clinic we see patients post discharge from the hospital or Emergency room who are at a high risk for readmission to the hospital. If they are unable to see their primary care provider within the specified time frame, they can follow up with us to ensure they are on the path of recovery. We focus on the diagnoses of COPD, CHF, pneumonia, acute MI, and stroke.
