About
Valerie earned her master's degree in 2001 and clinical doctorate degree in 2009 from the University of Kentucky. Her clinical experience has been in the area of neurological and vestibular rehabilitation. Valerie began treating patients experiencing dizziness and imbalance in 2004. This clinical focus evolved into the care of patients following concussion. Her clinical interests include management of sports-related concussion and injury prevention, so the patient or athlete can return to the sport or the activity they love.
Personal Statement
Management of athletes following concussion has allowed Valerie to utilize her experience in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation with her passion for sport and active living. Her desire to help patients following concussion was fueled by her personal and professional experiences. Valerie and her husband enjoy cycling and watching their three children play various sports.
